Seneca Valley virus (SVV), also known as Senecavirus A (SVA), belongs to the small RNA virus coronavirus genus [1]. Like other members of the small RNA viridae, SVV has an acyclic capsid with a diameter of about 25 nm-30 nm and icosahedral symmetry. SVV infection can cause blister disease in weaned piglets and pigs of all ages of nursing, fattening and breeding.
